Exciting Growth at the Drop-In Center – A Message from Our Team

April was a busy month, and May is shaping up to be even busier in the best way! We're thrilled to share that the Free Community Health Clinic’s nurse and doctor are now visiting the Drop-In Center every Wednesday, providing care to four to six guests each week. This is a huge milestone for us.

Access to medical care is crucial—not only does it keep people healthier, but it also reduces the need for costly emergency treatments down the road. Regular medical attention also supports those dealing with mental health and addiction, helping individuals move toward stability and wellness.

In addition to Wednesday visits, we’re fortunate to host:

• A community nurse several times a week

• A nurse from Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) every Thursday

• Monthly visits from Behavioral Healthcare Partners’ Mobile Unit

• Staff from the Health Department

• White Light Behavioral Health & Skypoint Recovery, offering addiction services

• A Veterans Administrative representative

• Monthly haircuts

We continue to serve two meals a day, distribute personal care items, clothing, and provide a safe, welcoming space for those in need. Our numbers are growing—we now serve 30 to 50 guests each weekday (Monday through Friday).

We invite community members to stop by and see the work firsthand. We're open from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
